PRAIRIE PETALS

This mural reimagines Saskatchewan’s floral emblem, the prairie lily, through a modern lens. Located in downtown Saskatoon, it transforms a prominent wall into a vibrant celebration of prairie beauty and innovation. Using seventy spray-painted colors, the design creates a stained-glass effect, with bold segments bringing the fiery petals to life. Geometric abstractions and fluid strokes frame the lilies, adding depth, light, and movement. This piece reflects my connection to the prairies, blending tradition with a contemporary perspective that invites viewers to see the landscape anew.
